January Meeting
The LBG met Jan. 12 for its monthly meeting. The membership elected the 2017 officers: Dale Wheeler, president; Katy Wichman, vice president; Phil Swaggerty, treasurer; Leigh Keck, secretary; Marlowe Mager, librarian; and Chris Stenger, biermeister. Katy led the tasting on oatmeal stouts.
Jeff Jensen joins Free State Brewing
Congrats to our friend and LBG founding member Jeff Jensen! Jeff recently accepted an administrative and sales role at Free State Brewing Co. He previously operated Jensen Liquor in Lawrence for more than 20 years. Congrats, Jeff!
Holiday Party
More than 125 people attended the LBG’s annual Holiday Party on Dec. 10 in Lawrence. The night included a holiday meal, door prizes and beer exchange.
