Kansas City Bier Meisters Competition
Several LBG members participated in the Kansas City Bier Meisters’ 35th annual competition. Members volunteered to steward and judge entries. Congrats to members who placed in the competition: Doug Pfantz, third, “Oatmeal Stout” (Stout category) Courtney Servaes, third, “George Dubs Wasn’t So Bad” (Belgian Strong category)
February Meeting
The LBG met Feb. 8 for its regular meeting. Vice President Courtney Servaes led the seminar with a BJCP style quiz. Members tasted three off-flavors commonly found in beers. The tasting was pale and amber European lagers.
February Hoppy Hour
Blue Moose Bar and Grill hosted the LBG’s February Hoppy Hour on Feb. 1. Hoppy Hours are the first Thursday of each month and are open to LBG members and friends and those interested in joining the club, homebrewing and craft beer.
