The LBG welcomes homebrewers of all experience levels. Guild members enjoy a number of benefits with their membership, including access to rental equipment, bulk buying and a library of resources, special discounts at local stores, sponsored beer trips and tours and more.

About Us

The Lawrence Brewers Guild, established in 1995, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the enjoyment of homebrewing and to promote the responsible use of alcoholic beverages. The guild meets the second Thursday of every month for a business meeting, featured beer tasting and seminar.

Yankee Tank She Can Brew Series

Congrats to LBG member Courtney Servaes for being part of Yankee Tank Brewing’s first release in the “She Can Brew” series! Her beer is an oatmeal stout and was tapped at Henry T’s on Aug. 24. The “She Can Brew” series highlights talented local female brewers who have shined in an otherwise male-dominated hobby/vocation.

Great Taste of the Midwest

Several LBG members attended Great Taste of the Midwest Aug. 12 in Madison, Wis. Great Taste is the second longest-running craft beer festival in North America, featuring more than 150 breweries and 1,000 different beers.

August Meeting

The LBG met Aug. 3 for its regular meeting. Biermeister Chris Stenger led the tasting on radlers. Katy Wichman and Phil Swaggerty were the featured Homebrewers of the Month.
