i was there about 6 months ago and noticed a big improvement. have been there a few times since then because of it. everything was better than before - beer, food, and most notably the service. im a big fan of the free state, but am glad we dont have to be a one-brewpub town anymore. and i should no...

i would be happy to talk about lables. but pete is the real king of making lables for the beer he brews. going way back to when we had meetings in bob's old brewshop, i gave a presentation on different commercial lables and their history. if i can find that stuff, i can dust it off and show-and-tell...

thanks andy,
but since i dont know him that well,
i feel i would be intruding by calling
him on his personal number.
all i want is a keg of ironman,
and for him, thats work.

i did try calling him at work
but he was not available.
i will try again on tuesday.

ive gotten kegs from the freestate before.
called and ordered on monday as per their instructions.
when i do, they tell me what is available.
its usually their core house beers.
seasonal beers are almost never available.

how did you score a keg of ironman?
and how much did it cost?

a kegorator would be nice, but a spare fridge without the hookups
works fine. another possibility is to keep the keg
in a cool place and ice it in a bucket as needed.

AG = all grain (as in not kits with extract)

full boil = if you want to have 5 gallons of beer,
you boil all five gallons while making it.
many extract brewers do partial boils (3+ gallons)
and add water after the boil is done to bring it up to 5 gallons.

glenn

i recently got 2 kits from grapeandgranary.com
and both made some of the best beer ive ever brewed.

as for seasonal styles, darker/heavier beers tend
to work well with cooler weather, but i think you should
brew what you like.

cant help you with the rig question.

good luck.
