Lil sis is doing the Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge, Manitou Springs thing for her honeymoon, wondering if anyone had any recommendations on pubs in the area. (All she is finding are wine tours, not her thing)

Would appreciate it.

We haven't been to COS in years, but when we did go, we always enjoyed stopping by the Phantom Canyon Brewing Company.

And tell your sister to check out http://beeradvocate.com/beerfly/ for reviews on other brewpubs in the Colorado Springs area.

Bristol Brewing Company. Best beer in town.

There are also some really good (and comparatively cheap) restaurants in the area: The Blue Star, MacKenzie's Chop House (very good, but not quite so cheap), Adam's Mountain Cafe (a must visit), and La Casita. (I don't know if Mataam Fez is still open, but it is/was a superb Moroccan place.)[/b]

Cheyenne Mountain Resort

has one of the best brunches anywhere, and it overlooks beautiful NORAD.

I'd second Phantom Canyon. Good beer and good food.
If you want to bring beer home Coaltrain Liquors had a great selection.

Thanks so much. I have a great list going for her now. Really appreciate the food info. She is a Butt light drinker, but promises me she is coming over to the dark side. lol She really put away some Irish Red I took for her bach party. Thanks again.
