Tri Clover's Stainless Steel

After using several forms of quick connects I found myself looking for something a little better. I was tired of some of them leaking and having to replace o-rings. I researched Tri-Clover fittings and found out in short order that they where out of my price range in most cases.

Having the manufacturing equipment needed, this is what I came up with.

Its 1 1/2 Tri-Clover fitting with ½ NPT female that I build myself except the clamp and gasket.

They are priced at 28.50 for a set plus shipping (yes, it takes two sets, one for each end of a hose). A set includes two cap ends drilled and Tig welded, one gaskets and a 1-½ stainless steel clamp.

I do believe they are a product that will last for many years to come and won’t leak when properly installed. They are stainless steel and are sanitary Tig welded.

Here are a few pictures on how they are made.

This is a picture of the new Male Tri' it has a little more wall but a little less hex.
My supplier can't keep the supplies needed so this is what I came up with another way around the barn. If my suppler gets his act togther I will go back to the old style.
Also with material cost going up again I had to raise the price to 28.50 a set

Here is a picture of the rig with the Tri's being used.

I have these on my brew rig and are worth every cent. So easy to take your kegs off to clean and no worries of leaking.

Hey Swag, what is different about the longer sanitary connects used at the kettle outputs to the liquid lines? Obviously they are longer, but is there something different happening on the inside of them?

The connection from the keg to the piping is made from the necks of kegs. I turn down on the lathe plus add a gasket groove and a little Tig welding to make the connection. With a two clamp and gasket easy off and on with the keg

Got it. So is there a particular benefit to using them in that location, or is it just smart recycling?

Guess a little of both. When I built my rig that was one of the first requirements easy off and on of the boil and mash tun. Hay it was something new to build my cup of tea. (sometimes) lol

Have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS
