Octoberfest Horrors

I was tidying up the basement tonight and organizing magazines for archival purposes. I had the last two years of BYO and Zymurgy in the mix. Out of ALL the issues I was archiving I paused only at one-- the Oct BYO 2008 issue. I didn’t recognize the cover so I opened to the back page, which has the Last Call article, which I always read, and would recognize if I had read that issue before… I had not, somehow…
Imagine my horror when I cast my eyes on the likes of Nate & Yoder talking pumpkin brewing!!! (How did I misss this????)
Even more disturbing, were the final two sentences of the article which read:
“Just find a disreputable buddy and hit a bar some night in October, and you will be well on your way. Here’s to hoping you have a king size bed and an understanding spouse.”
