What is the volume of 1 bbl of beer? Confusing :(

Are you talking 31 gallons (at least here in the us)?

There is an imperial measurement too, but that is on the other side of the pond.

just remember that a standard U.S. Sanke keg is 15.5 gallons, which is a 1/2 bbl.

There are three main measurements of what a "barrel" is:

Imperial = 36 gal
Us = 32 (31.678)
Old style = 34

So it depends on the source you are reading. In the 1800's a barrel was defined as 36 gallons...

I thought 31 gallon was current.
