Swagman built me two modified caps for my Sanky fermenters. Thought id share his latest work!

Caps include:
Adjustable 1/2" Racking Cane (Cane can be removed and a airlock/blow off added during primary)
Adjustable 3/8" Thermowell
1/4" Flare Fitting for Ball Lock Gas

Since I Co2 rack, I didn't see the need to add a racking arm to the fermenter. I can grab samples just by adding a little pressure. Love it!

Andy and Swag...them is some sexy pipes you got there.

Well done, nice use of vertical placement to get all 3 ports in the cap.

And the use of a 1/2" racking port on top of that!

Thanks, and No...I don't sell much unless I have too. Proof shown by how I was able to get into these Sankeys. Glad I had the stuff to do it and someday I will be glad the glass is still in my brew room.

Andy,

Not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, how do you use all the tube fittings and things that Swag has attached to the tri-clover connection?

Is there a use for all the stuff that Swag attached to your setup?

The 3/8" fitting is adjustable depth for a thermowell. I like monitoring internal temps during primaries.
The 1/2" fitting is also adjustable. A racking cane, airlock, or a blowoff can be attached for whatever the need may be.
The 1/4" MFL is for a ball lock connector for co2 "in" for force racking.

I use the Sanke's for primary>cold conditioning>serving. I monitor temps during primary and can move the beer from vessel to vessel in a closed air environment. Now my wort>beer will never be exposed to any o2 since its a closed system from primary on.
