Hey everyone at the LBG!!

Been a while since I have posted and thought I would drop a quick note.

Finally got to VA and settled in. Everyone at work is real nice. The drivers and traffic on the other had is AWFUL. We ain't in Kansas anymore. There is no easy way to get anywhere around here and speed limits are only "suggestions". There are so many people here in a very small area with limited roads (grid system ...NOT) that makes it a mess almost all the time. Will take some getting use to.

Have found a local brew guild here and the first meeting is next week. Fingers crossed they are at least 1/10th as cool as the LBG. I am going through good beer withdrawal hardcore.

Hope everyone had a great holiday and new year.

Best Wishes

Jason

Good to hear from you, buddy! Hope you both are doing great. East Coast living is definitely different. Keep us in the loop about your world out there, and the local club. Who knows, maybe the LBG and your new club will get to collaborate on something.

As for good homebrew withdrawal, I wish you all the best with the new club, and that you'll get your own rig moved out there soon enough so you can show them how to get it done. :) While you're waiting, I'm sure there is plenty of good commercial stuff out there that we'd love to have access to. Ommegang? Victory? Maybe a road-trip to Dogfish? Sounds like fun to me, assuming they aren't working you to death already. :)

Thanks again for all your help with brewing and storing that beer. I've been making sure it gets drank up by good people before it goes bad. It's pretty much gone. And things are starting to look up with my own job search. I'll keep you in the loop.

Best of luck in everything, buddy.

Matt

Nice to hear from ya Jason. It's kinda quiet here on the forum since your departure. Your old mash tun is serving me very well--very grateful to you for it. I will be watching for you here and look forward to whatever you might have to say about the local guild there. Best of luck.

Hey, back at ya'. Yeah, traffic in DC is the worst, but so much to see and do there (if you have the time).
If you're going to the DC Homebrewers I think that's Mike Tonsmeire's (AKA The Mad Fermentationist) club.
Hope the Internship is all you wanted (and more).
As for life's adventures: Enjoy what you like and let the rest go!
Good luck!

Hey Jason,

Thanks for checking in. Glad things are going well for you with the internship. Hope you get a chance to see things while you are there. Let us know how the brew meeting goes - I'm sure they can't compare to us --

Be careful on those roads!
