Free Chopped/Modified Kegs
Have 2 partially deconstructed/cut/drilled (so they unfortunately can never return "home" to their respective breweries) kegs available. If anyone is interested, I can bring them to the next meeting or meet you some time. I'll edit this and add pictures tonight! They're 1/2 bbl (15 gal)(or were before cutting)
Re: Free Chopped/Modified Kegs
Ryan could spare some of these so i can test out my solding skills. I want to try to put the welding spud in the big brewtech once i get the hang of it. looks right up my alley i just have never done it before. I also have set up i usally use. I use 45% silver solder to braze copper to brass all the time on my compressors.
Thanks,
David

Re: Free Chopped/Modified Kegs
i have done a lot of soldering with 45% silver on kettles. the hardest part of it is cleaning the flux and discoloration after. i have another project to solder where the joint is not structural (like a fitting where a valve will be attached) and will try some EutecRod Stainless Steel Solder 450F solder. for our use in brewing the solder joints are not subjected to temps over 250 F or pressures over a few psi .
heres the link i bought my solder from
