LBG members put on and attend a number of events throughout the year. The guild’s signature event, Brewfest, is held each September at Clinton Lake.

The LBG welcomes homebrewers of all experience levels. Guild members enjoy a number of benefits with their membership, including access to rental equipment, bulk buying and a library of resources, special discounts at local stores, sponsored beer trips and tours and more.

About Us

The Lawrence Brewers Guild, established in 1995, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the enjoyment of homebrewing and to promote the responsible use of alcoholic beverages. The guild meets the second Thursday of every month for a business meeting, featured beer tasting and seminar.

Irvine Winery Collab

Big thanks to Irvine’s Just Beyond Paradise for inviting members James and Tara Taylor, Barry Fitzgerald, Dale Buchheister and Lynette Good out for a collab brew day on May 15! It was the club’s first winery collaboration! They made a strawberry rhubarb mead, with caramelized honey.

May 2022 Meeting

The LBG met May 12 for its regular meeting. Jim McGovern led the seminar on reusing yeast. Biermeister Leigh Keck led the tasting on commercial beers utilizing different yeasts.
Pints for Pets

Pints for Pets

Many LBG members attended and served beer at Pints for Pets, on May 7 in Lawrence. The event raised money for the Lawrence Humane Society.
May 2022 Hoppy Hour

May 2022 Hoppy Hour

The LBG hosted its monthly Hoppy Hour on May 5 at Henry T’s. Members got to try the club’s weizenbock collab with Yankee Tank Brewing. Hoppy Hours are typically the first Thursday of the month and are open to LBG members and friends and those interested in joining the club, homebrewing and craft beer.

Parkville Microbrew Festival

Several members donated and served beer at the LBG’s booth at the Parkville Microbrew Festival on April 30. The event featured 50+ breweries and several homebrew clubs.
