The LBG hosted its monthly Hoppy Hour on Sept. 1 at Servaes Brewing Co. in downtown Shawnee. Servaes released its LBG collab — Chocolate Cherry Kool Cookie, a 5% cream ale with cherry-flavored drink mix and giant cherry chocolate cookies from Eileen’s Colossal Cookies in Lawrence. Members who participated in the collab were Ken Godwin, Steve Brown, Steve Fritts and Gregg Varner. Hoppy Hours are typically the first Thursday of the month and are open to LBG members and friends and those interested in joining the club, homebrewing and craft beer.
